2024 started with a bang and we have SO much to be thankful for!
We recently learned that we are the recipients of three grants:
- Oral Health International Foundation
gave us $2,200 for youth services. We are excited to use these funds to specifically target our youth population and help them receive dental care and preventative education. - Cushman Foundation
gave us a grant to buy a new sensor. This will allow us to take X-rays of more than one patient at a time- this is HUGE for us! - Sundt Foundation
gave us $5,000 for general operating expenses. This is a wonderful gift as we seek to raise $15,000 in monthly donations to cover operating costs.
In addition to celebrating these grants, we also have a fantastic event happening on March 1. Read below!
Hearts Over Hate, Free Dental Clinic
We have an amazing opportunity to partner with Hearts Over Hate to put on a free dental clinic on March 1. We will see over 30 patients on this day.
The Harouni family started Hearts Over Hate a year ago when their son, Dr. Benjamin Harouni, was tragically killed by a disgruntled patient. The family started Hearts Over Hate to support families who have been victims of violent crimes. With a dental background themselves, the Harouni family and Hearts Over Hate will collaborate with Cura Smiles to put on a free dental clinic on March 1. We are looking forward to restoring smiles and partnering with Hearts Over Hate to carry on Dr. Harouni's legacy of serving the community.
Our goal is to raise $2,500 for the event. Anything raised above this goal will be split between the two organizations for additional projects or general operations.

February Patient Story
This is Margarita, and she is a bundle of light and joy! She visits the clinic often, and we were just able to finish her dentures. Look at that transformation! We can't wait to get an update on Margarita and how her new smile has impacted her life.
Margarita's dentures were donated by JB's Esthetics Dental Laboratory, located in Tennessee! We are thankful for all of our partners, near and far, who help to restore smiles.
